# 씬 vs 워드맥스

The clearest difference is monetization model: 씬 at free against 워드맥스's free with in-app purchases. 씬 also leads on review sentiment (84% vs 60%). 워드맥스's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 씬 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and 워드맥스 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

씬 ships an update every 3 weeks, 워드맥스 every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
