# Break the cable vs Fly Challenge

The clearest difference is ads: Break the cable at none against Fly Challenge's shown. Break the cable also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Fly Challenge's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 109) and review sentiment (27% vs 15%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Break the cable sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fly Challenge sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Break the cable against 4.2 for Fly Challenge. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fly Challenge has 1.3K ratings behind it against 109, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 15% of Break the cable's written reviews are positive against 27% of Fly Challenge's.

Break the cable ships an update every 2 days, Fly Challenge every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
