# Step vs 10,000 Steps

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Step at 13.0 against 10,000 Steps's 18.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and 10,000 Steps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step ships an update monthly, 10,000 Steps every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
