# Step vs ED Track

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Step at 13.0 against ED Track's 15.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and ED Track sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step ships an update monthly, ED Track fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
