# Pocketdols vs Blooming Talk

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Blooming Talk at 83% against Pocketdols's 33%. Blooming Talk also leads on ads (none vs shown). Pocketdols's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 2.8) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pocketdols sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Blooming Talk sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pocketdols holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Pocketdols's written reviews are positive against 83% of Blooming Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pocketdols ships an update every 10 days, Blooming Talk fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
