# Rainbow Snake! vs Slither Blast

The clearest difference is rating: Slither Blast at 4.8 against Rainbow Snake!'s 3.4. Slither Blast also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 8). Rainbow Snake!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (60% vs 49%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slither Blast sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Rainbow Snake! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Slither Blast holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slither Blast has 3.4K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Rainbow Snake!'s written reviews are positive against 49% of Slither Blast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rainbow Snake! ships an update every 3 months, Slither Blast every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
