# Contact Origin vs Stonegate

The clearest difference is ads: Stonegate at none against Contact Origin's shown. Stonegate also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and update cadence (every 4 days vs weekly). Contact Origin's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Contact Origin sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Stonegate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Contact Origin against 5.0 for Stonegate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Contact Origin has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of Contact Origin's written reviews are positive against 100% of Stonegate's.

Contact Origin ships an update weekly, Stonegate every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
