# FlipStudio vs Tricky Mean2

FlipStudio and Tricky Mean2 both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of FlipStudio's written reviews are positive against 23% of Tricky Mean2's. Tricky Mean2's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlipStudio sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and Tricky Mean2 sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tricky Mean2 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6K and 9.7K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of FlipStudio's written reviews are positive against 23% of Tricky Mean2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlipStudio ships an update every 4 weeks, Tricky Mean2 every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
