# Exciter vs GoRap

The clearest difference is update cadence: Exciter at every 3 months against GoRap's every 6 months. Exciter also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Exciter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and GoRap sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exciter ships an update every 3 months, GoRap every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
