# Lightme vs UnionDocs

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UnionDocs at none against Lightme's 4. Lightme's advantage is ratings volume (950 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightme sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. UnionDocs asks for nothing beyond the download.

UnionDocs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightme has 950 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lightme ships an update every 3 weeks, UnionDocs every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
