# Dedrone City vs TAK Aware

Dedrone City and TAK Aware both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of TAK Aware's written reviews are positive against 25% of Dedrone City's. TAK Aware also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and ratings volume (24 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dedrone City holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TAK Aware has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Dedrone City's written reviews are positive against 86% of TAK Aware's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dedrone City ships an update every 6 weeks, TAK Aware every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
