# ActiveCollab vs SmartSuite App

The clearest difference is rating: ActiveCollab at 4.6 against SmartSuite App's 3.9. SmartSuite App's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ActiveCollab holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42 and 68 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of ActiveCollab's written reviews are positive against 45% of SmartSuite App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ActiveCollab ships an update every 3 weeks, SmartSuite App weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
