# Math Scanner vs Answer AI

The clearest difference is ads: Math Scanner at none against Answer AI's shown. Answer AI's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Scanner sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Answer AI sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Answer AI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 454 and 433 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Math Scanner's written reviews are positive against 21% of Answer AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
