# Hidmont vs Block

The clearest difference is update cadence: Block at every 10 days against Hidmont's monthly. Hidmont's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hidmont ships an update monthly, Block every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
