# Multiplication vs Square Root Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Square Root Pro at none against Multiplication's 1. Square Root Pro also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). Multiplication's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 8 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Multiplication sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Square Root Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Square Root Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Multiplication has 3.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of Multiplication's written reviews are positive against 100% of Square Root Pro's.

Multiplication ships an update every 5 weeks, Square Root Pro every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
