# Infinite Outdoors vs GridPoint

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Infinite Outdoors at none against GridPoint's 2. Infinite Outdoors also leads on ratings volume (108 vs 9). GridPoint's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GridPoint sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Infinite Outdoors asks for nothing beyond the download.

GridPoint holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Infinite Outdoors has 108 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Infinite Outdoors's written reviews are positive against 75% of GridPoint's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Infinite Outdoors ships an update every 2 weeks, GridPoint every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
