# Year Progress Bar vs Custom QR

The clearest difference is ads: Year Progress Bar at none against Custom QR's shown. Custom QR's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Year Progress Bar ships an update every 11 months, Custom QR every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
