# tamata vs Akkooo

The clearest difference is ads: Akkooo at none against tamata's shown. Akkooo also leads on review sentiment (66% vs 34%). tamata's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 184). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

tamata holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: tamata has 1.4K ratings behind it against 184, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of tamata's written reviews are positive against 66% of Akkooo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

tamata ships an update every 2 weeks, Akkooo every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
