# GoodRec vs Play Amigos

The clearest difference is ratings volume: GoodRec at 14K against Play Amigos's 5. Play Amigos's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for GoodRec against 5.0 for Play Amigos. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GoodRec has 14K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GoodRec ships an update fortnightly, Play Amigos every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
