# DSLoad Station vs Passage Talk

The clearest difference is monetization model: DSLoad Station at free with in-app purchases against Passage Talk's subscription. DSLoad Station also leads on ratings volume (572 vs 1). Passage Talk's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DSLoad Station sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Passage Talk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Passage Talk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DSLoad Station has 572 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
