# WarPoet vs STACK HQ

The clearest difference is monetization model: STACK HQ at freemium against WarPoet's subscription. STACK HQ also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). WarPoet's advantage is ratings volume (6.8K vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WarPoet sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and STACK HQ sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for WarPoet against 5.0 for STACK HQ. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WarPoet has 6.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

WarPoet ships an update every 3 months, STACK HQ every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
