# Joy Blast vs Spell Pals

The clearest difference is update cadence: Spell Pals at daily against Joy Blast's every 2 weeks. Joy Blast's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joy Blast sells 22 one-off in-app purchases and Spell Pals sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Joy Blast ships an update every 2 weeks, Spell Pals daily. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
