# Locals.com vs TEXIAN

Locals.com and TEXIAN both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of TEXIAN's written reviews are positive against 53% of Locals.com's. Locals.com's advantage is ratings volume (42K vs 25) and chart position (#159 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Locals.com sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and TEXIAN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.29 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Locals.com against 4.7 for TEXIAN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Locals.com has 42K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 53% of Locals.com's written reviews are positive against 83% of TEXIAN's.

Locals.com ships an update every 4 weeks, TEXIAN fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
