# Morse Mania vs Doomsday Method

The clearest difference is monetization model: Doomsday Method at free against Morse Mania's free with in-app purchases. Morse Mania's advantage is ratings volume (8.4K vs 3) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Morse Mania sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Doomsday Method sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Morse Mania holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morse Mania has 8.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Morse Mania's written reviews are positive against 100% of Doomsday Method's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Morse Mania ships an update every 2 months, Doomsday Method every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
