# Charleys Rewards vs Sbarro

The clearest difference is ads: Charleys Rewards at none against Sbarro's shown. Charleys Rewards also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (45% vs 22%). Sbarro's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Charleys Rewards against 4.7 for Sbarro. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Charleys Rewards has 67K ratings behind it against 1.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of Charleys Rewards's written reviews are positive against 22% of Sbarro's.

Charleys Rewards ships an update every 4 months, Sbarro fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
