# Mindkit vs Walden

The clearest difference is monetization model: Mindkit at free with in-app purchases against Walden's subscription. Mindkit also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindkit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Walden sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Mindkit against 4.8 for Walden. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 46 and 41 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 89% and 90% positive.

Mindkit ships an update every 9 days, Walden monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
