# Random vs Simply Random

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Simply Random at none against Random's 6. Random's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Random sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Simply Random asks for nothing beyond the download.

Random ships an update monthly, Simply Random every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
