# iTV vs IPTV Player

iTV and IPTV Player both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of iTV's written reviews are positive against 33% of IPTV Player's. iTV also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). IPTV Player's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iTV sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and IPTV Player sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for iTV against 4.5 for IPTV Player. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Player has 42 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of iTV's written reviews are positive against 33% of IPTV Player's.

iTV ships an update every 9 days, IPTV Player every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
