# Thready vs Pokopedia

The clearest difference is price: Pokopedia at Free against Thready's $2.99. Pokopedia also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (690 vs 62). Thready's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Pokopedia is free to download; Thready costs $2.99 up front. Pokopedia sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Thready asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pokopedia holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pokopedia has 690 ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Thready's written reviews are positive against 52% of Pokopedia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thready ships an update every 8 days, Pokopedia weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
