# Locter vs ChatMoss

Locter and ChatMoss both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Locter's written reviews are positive against 22% of ChatMoss's. ChatMoss's advantage is ratings volume (105 vs 5) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Locter sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and ChatMoss sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Locter against 4.6 for ChatMoss. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatMoss has 105 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Locter's written reviews are positive against 22% of ChatMoss's.

Locter ships an update every 2 weeks, ChatMoss every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
