# Mix Potion vs Incubator!

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mix Potion at none against Incubator!'s 1. Mix Potion also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 40%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Incubator!'s advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (407 vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Incubator! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mix Potion asks for nothing beyond the download.

Incubator! holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Incubator! has 407 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Mix Potion's written reviews are positive against 40% of Incubator!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mix Potion ships an update fortnightly, Incubator! every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
