# PENN Play vs GuestScreen

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PENN Play at none against GuestScreen's 10. PENN Play also leads on ratings volume (125K vs 1) and chart position (#170 vs unranked). GuestScreen's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GuestScreen sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. PENN Play asks for nothing beyond the download.

GuestScreen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PENN Play has 125K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PENN Play ships an update every 3 weeks, GuestScreen weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
