# ParkVIP vs Base Power

The clearest difference is monetization model: Base Power at free against ParkVIP's freemium. Base Power also leads on rating (4.4 vs 4.1). ParkVIP's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 74%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Base Power holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 67 and 45 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of ParkVIP's written reviews are positive against 74% of Base Power's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ParkVIP ships an update monthly, Base Power every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
