# Pentix Nova vs Lumen

The clearest difference is ads: Lumen at none against Pentix Nova's shown. Lumen also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (daily vs weekly). Pentix Nova's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pentix Nova sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Lumen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lumen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pentix Nova has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pentix Nova ships an update weekly, Lumen daily. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
