# Persnickety Box vs Strika

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Persnickety Box at 808 against Strika's 9. Persnickety Box also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and device support (3 vs 1). Strika's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Persnickety Box against 5.0 for Strika. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Persnickety Box has 808 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Persnickety Box's written reviews are positive against 100% of Strika's.

Persnickety Box ships an update monthly, Strika every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
