# Zero Below Zero vs Cognito

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cognito at every 3 weeks against Zero Below Zero's every 6 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zero Below Zero sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cognito sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Zero Below Zero ships an update every 6 months, Cognito every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
