# Writey Cursive Handwriting vs ABC Handwriting by Corneille

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ABC Handwriting by Corneille at 100% against Writey Cursive Handwriting's 50%. ABC Handwriting by Corneille also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). Writey Cursive Handwriting's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.8) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 15 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Writey Cursive Handwriting sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ABC Handwriting by Corneille sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Writey Cursive Handwriting holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Writey Cursive Handwriting has 12K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Writey Cursive Handwriting's written reviews are positive against 100% of ABC Handwriting by Corneille's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Writey Cursive Handwriting ships an update every 3 weeks, ABC Handwriting by Corneille every 15 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
