# Magic FX vs TicMagic

The clearest difference is rating: Magic FX at 4.5 against TicMagic's 3.7. Magic FX also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 3). TicMagic's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic FX sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. TicMagic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Magic FX holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic FX has 3.3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Magic FX's written reviews are positive against 50% of TicMagic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
