# Magic FX vs MagicPic

Magic FX and MagicPic both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MagicPic's written reviews are positive against 18% of Magic FX's. MagicPic also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Magic FX's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 16). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic FX sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and MagicPic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Magic FX against 4.4 for MagicPic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic FX has 3.3K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 18% of Magic FX's written reviews are positive against 100% of MagicPic's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
