# Tangle Master 3D vs Tangle Ropes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tangle Ropes at 75% against Tangle Master 3D's 16%. Tangle Ropes also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Tangle Master 3D's advantage is ratings volume (385K vs 13) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tangle Master 3D sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Tangle Ropes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tangle Master 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tangle Master 3D has 385K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Tangle Master 3D's written reviews are positive against 75% of Tangle Ropes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tangle Master 3D ships an update weekly, Tangle Ropes every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
