# Algebra Touch vs Elementary Algebra

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Algebra Touch at 1K against Elementary Algebra's 30. Algebra Touch also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Elementary Algebra's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Algebra Touch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Elementary Algebra sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Algebra Touch against 4.7 for Elementary Algebra. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Algebra Touch has 1K ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two.
