# Notepad vs Notely

The clearest difference is rating: Notepad at 5.0 against Notely's 4.0. Notely's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Notely sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notepad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 3 respectively.

Notepad ships an update every 6 weeks, Notely every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
