# Forum Chat vs Coded Messages

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Coded Messages at none against Forum Chat's 1. Forum Chat's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.4). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forum Chat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Coded Messages asks for nothing beyond the download.
