# Novaplan vs Bullet

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bullet at freemium against Novaplan's subscription. Bullet also leads on ratings volume (316 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). Novaplan's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Novaplan sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Bullet sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Novaplan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bullet has 316 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Novaplan's written reviews are positive against 86% of Bullet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Novaplan ships an update every 2 weeks, Bullet weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
