# Countdown Timer & Day Counter vs Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Widget at every 9 days against Countdown Timer & Day Counter's every 2 months. Countdown Timer & Day Counter's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (54 vs 18). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Timer & Day Counter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Timer & Day Counter holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 54 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Countdown Timer & Day Counter's written reviews are positive against 83% of Countdown Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown Timer & Day Counter ships an update every 2 months, Countdown Widget every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
