# QuickScan vs Open Scan

QuickScan and Open Scan both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 98% of QuickScan's written reviews are positive against 33% of Open Scan's. QuickScan also leads on ratings volume (4.1K vs 71). Open Scan's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 23). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickScan sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Open Scan asks for nothing beyond the download.
