# Couchers vs BarSwipe

The clearest difference is rating: BarSwipe at 5.0 against Couchers's 2.9. Couchers's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (22 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BarSwipe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Couchers has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Couchers ships an update every 8 days, BarSwipe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
