# NailPOP vs Simply Southern Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Simply Southern Tracker at none against NailPOP's shown. Simply Southern Tracker also leads on rating (2.6 vs 2.2) and ratings volume (61 vs 9). NailPOP's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Simply Southern Tracker holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simply Southern Tracker has 61 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of NailPOP's written reviews are positive against 21% of Simply Southern Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
