# Textkiller vs Scribblet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scribblet at every 3 days against Textkiller's every 2 weeks. Scribblet also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 37%). Textkiller's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 202). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Textkiller sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scribblet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Textkiller against 4.4 for Scribblet. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Textkiller has 13K ratings behind it against 202, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of Textkiller's written reviews are positive against 50% of Scribblet's.

Textkiller ships an update every 2 weeks, Scribblet every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
