# Textkiller vs Email SMS Blocker

The clearest difference is rating: Textkiller at 4.3 against Email SMS Blocker's 3.2. Textkiller also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 5). Email SMS Blocker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 16) and review sentiment (67% vs 37%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Textkiller sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Email SMS Blocker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Textkiller holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Textkiller has 13K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Textkiller's written reviews are positive against 67% of Email SMS Blocker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Textkiller ships an update every 2 weeks, Email SMS Blocker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
